Who We Are
Manga Banana Cooperative Society Limited is a forward-thinking cooperative officially established in November 2024 and rooted in Nyamira County, a key banana-growing region in Kenya. With an initial membership of over 150 farmers and plans to expand to more than 1,200, we are committed to transforming livelihoods through innovation and collaboration.
Our Mission
To enhance value addition in banana farming, promote circular economy principles, and improve market access for smallholder farmers.
Our Vision
To become the leading cooperative in sustainable banana value addition and waste valorisation.
What We Do
We address one of agriculture’s biggest challenges, post-harvest waste, by converting banana stems, leaves, and peels into valuable products. By doing so, we reduce environmental impact while unlocking new income streams for farmers.We also provide training, processing facilities, and market access, ensuring our members are equipped to succeed in a rapidly evolving agricultural ecosystem. At our core, we believe in community empowerment, sustainability, and shared prosperity driven by cooperative principles.
